This state-of-the-art facility has been carefully designed to support breeders from across Scotland and Northern England, bringing advanced reproductive care into one central and convenient location.
A Purpose-Built Reproduction Hub
Our bespoke unit at Bowhouse is our newest addition to the services we provide at Clyde Vet Group. Featuring dedicated stables, five individual paddocks, stocks, and an on-site laboratory, the facility is tailored for assisted reproductive techniques and mare and foal care.

One of the key advantages of Clyde Vet Group Bowhouse is the ability to deliver reproductive services in a controlled and purpose-built environment.
This ensures we can achieve correct technique, optimal timing, and provide the most accurate diagnostic work – all of which are vital for successful outcomes.
Senior stud vet and advanced practitioner in equine stud medicine, Natalie Hind, has led the development of Bowhouse with expertise drawn from her work across the globe.
“We are very excited to be able to expand our reproductive services with the opening of Clyde Veterinary Group Bowhouse,” says Natalie.
“Being able to design a facility specifically catering for the management of mares and foals will allow us to increase efficiency and maximise the services available in one place.
Hopefully the facility will help those clients who would prefer to drop mares with us for the duration of their breeding work, come from outside our client catchment area, or own mares requiring more in-depth reproductive management.
The reproduction unit is a facility that has been sorely missing in central Scotland. It allows us to support clients without access to these services in their own areas, whether that might be for scanning of mares to best place them in their cycles, pregnancy diagnosis, or flushing embryos to be shipped to recipient mares elsewhere in the country.”
