How do I order repeat medication?
Should you require repeat a prescription we ask that you order this by phoning the surgery during normal working hours.
How far in advance should I order my prescription?
In general, it is extremely important to organise repeat medication in good time before your pet runs low.
This will allow us to arrange delivery of stock that is not routinely kept at the surgery and ensure your pet will not run out of their medication.
Prescriptions ordered in the morning will be ready to collect in the afternoon, while if they’re ordered in the afternoon, they will be ready the following morning.
Does my animal require a prescription check examination?
Prescription medication can only be dispensed if your pet has been examined within the last six months.
Please note that this is a legal requirement in order for your vet to authorise a repeat prescription. This also enables us to review your pet’s progress and ensure the treatment is effective.
Written prescription information
We can provide written prescriptions on request which can be collected or emailed.
A fee will be charged for each written prescription.
Each prescription can include up to a maximum of three different medications.
Each prescription can include up to a maximum of three months’ worth of medication at a time depending on the condition and nature of the medication.
The animal must have been checked within the last six months.
Can I have my prescription sent by post?
We can arrange medication to be sent via recorded delivery or special delivery. There is an additional fee charged for postage.
