Internal medicine

We’re here for when detective work is required to establish a diagnosis.

If your pet is suffering from clinical problems that are not obviously surgical, we will investigate to establish a diagnosis. These symptoms include vomiting, diarrhoea, excessive drinking, malaise, weight loss or gain, anaemia and fever.

Typically, after initial consultation, we will admit your pet and perform further investigation such as blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound or endoscopy to work out what is wrong and what the best treatment will be.

Unless immediate treatment is required animals may go home and await results.

We have good lab facilities and equipment available in-house that means the wait will not be long unless more specialised lab testing is required.
