"I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on a farm just outside of town. I was six months old when I was bought as a household pet by the Brosnan family. I moved to Scotland at the age of four and settled in very nicely. I love the park across the road, which I ran and played with my ball everyday. Unfortunately, one morning, I ran across the road to get to my mum and was hit by a car. I was rushed to an emergency vet in Glasgow who patched me up but couldn't do anymore and advised my family that I would lose my leg. My family called Clyde Vets who said to bring me straight in. I know my family were really worried when they were told that I had to be left there for the day.
After x-rays, scans and investigations my family returned and we were all amazed that my leg wasn't broken however, I had sustained severe injuries. There was still a strong possibility that I would lose my leg. My family took me to the vets everyday to get my bandage changed and leg cleaned where I got gravy bones, cuddles, attention and a beautiful uniquely made cast with awesome designs.
Clyde Vets were excellent at giving my family daily step by step instructions which they followed religiously, such as putting a plastic bag on my injured leg to keep it dry at all times when going outside. I wasn't allowed to go for walks, or play with my beloved ball. After a few weeks, Clyde Vets advised my family that things were looking good as long as we kept up with their advice and appointments. They found a unique way of showing my family my progress by sending photographs via WhatsApp due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. This encouraged us all to keep going with their advice. I know it was a struggle at times but I am now on the mend and I am able to go for walks and get to play with my ball ON ALL FOUR LEGS! Once again, all thanks to the staff at Clyde Vets. I would highly recommend them and wouldn’t allow my family to take me anywhere else because of their kindness, perseverance, and excellent service from all the staff."
"I phoned Clyde Vets back in August of 2018 when I discovered my horse had a hind leg lameness. Upon scanning, we found Cara had damaged a hind suspensory. Luckily she had a positive prognosis but the road to recovery and rehabilitation programmes were ought to be long.
I am beyond thrilled to be able to share our success story as this weekend we completed our first ever International 3 day event in the CCI* at Blair Castle International Horse Trials 2021. Cara sat at the top of the leaderboard on a 30.1 dressage and jumped a super double clear.
I cannot thank Will enough for his endless support, advice and care. Neaera and Suzanne have both attended to Cara on other occasions and for routine visits. All of their help has been invaluable.
A huge thank you to the equine team at Clyde Vets, we couldn’t have done it without you!"

"My grandfather came here in 1932 and I'm now the 3rd generation running this farm. We have 160 cows that are milked twice a day by a team of one full time man on farm and with the help of my family.
I've been with Clyde Vet Group for over 20 years now. I like the regular visits, it's always reassuring seeing the same faces helping me with my animals. Farm Vet Charles visits the farm regularly for routine work and he's always very professional and does a brilliant job. All the vets at Clyde Vets, for that matter, have plenty of experience and do a really good job. They've always been there for me when I've needed them, whether routine or emergency visits. They always have plenty of back up and get the job done to a high level. I'd definitely recommend them."
"I have been a client of Clyde Vets from the outset and always felt welcome by everyone.
The Vets are passionate and compassionate, both for the job and the patients, with good decision making and management skills.
There are so many times over the years my horses have been “put back together again” but more recently my ID mare required immediate attention. The prognosis was not good. But, heads down, a plan of treatment from multiple vets was devised and administered over many months and I am delighted to say that, to date, she is a happy bouncing mare living life to the full.
I cannot thank them enough for all the thought, time and hard work they have put into her care.
A practice I highly recommend with a skilled, dedicated, caring and again compassionate team."
