servicesUsing the facilities at our disposal we aim to excel in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as providing all the usual services, e.g. neutering cats and dogs. The practice as a whole utilises many diagnostic techniques including x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, laser treatment and, more recently at Lanark, nuclear scintigraphy (bone scanning) and radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy. In addition we have a specialist in-house cardiology service. Our medicine services include dermatology, cardiology, chemotherapy, behaviour counselling, endocrinology, physiotherapy, ultrasonography, dentistry, and some reproductive medicine. We also have several trained veterinary acupuncturists. Our small animal suite allows us to deal with many complex surgical problems, including internal medicine and orthopaedics. We are also one of the few private practices in Scotland which routinely perform TPLO surgery for ruptured cruciate knee ligaments in dogs. We encourage all our staff to improve and enhance their skills in all areas of veterinary medicine, and as such insist that regular continuing professional development is undertaken. As a result several members of our team are currently studying for further level certificates. |
