Kay RVN Head Veterinary Nurse
I joined the practice in 2003 as a vet nursing assistant, progressing on to become an RVN. I became Head Nurse in 2010 and find my role both challenging yet thoroughly rewarding, particularly in terms of patient care. I particularly enjoy nurse consultations, puppy socialisation classes, whilst also having a keen interest in wound management and nutrition. Patient rehabilitation is another are of interest, in which I hope to develop in the future

I have been working at Clyde Vet Group since March 2008. I am a nursing assistant here in our Lanark branch. I enjoy most aspects of the job, as it is very rewarding, but I have particular interest in the nurse clinics and rehabilitation. My favourite part of this job is to see pets returning home fighting fit when they have come to us very unwell. Outside of work I enjoy walking my crazy dog Jake, spending time with my family and socialising with my friends.

I joined Clyde Vet Group Lanark in August 2012 and worked at the Wishaw branch for 3 years prior to moving up to Lanark. My main jobs are to look after the animals both before and after their treatment and to keep the kennels and cattery in tip-top condition. My favourite part of the job is knowing that with our hard work very sick animals can return home. Outside of work I am a very active member in the young farmers in Carluke and also help out on the family farm. My hobbies are netball, hockey and tug-of-war.
