  • Niall Kenny BSc MA PhD Vet MB MRCVS

    is one of the partners responsible for the small animal division of the practice. Although originally working as an academic he subsequently qualified in Veterinary Medicine from Cambridge University in 1995. After a brief spell in Kent he came North to Lanark in 1996, and is currently working towards the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Medicine. He also has extensive interests in veterinary history and is currently an advisor to several historical veterinary libraries. Niall is married with twin daughters.

    Hans, a partner in the small animal division, studied at Vienna veterinary school and moved to the UK shortly after graduating in 1998. After short spells in the Yorkshire Dales, the Highlands and Edinburgh, he joined the practice in 2001. He is passionate about surgery with a particular interest in orthopaedics, including the treatment of conditions such as anterior cruciate ligament disease. He is himself the owner of an old and infirm black Labrador!

    graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2007. Following 5 1/2 years working in a mixed practice in Cheshire she moved back to her roots in Lanarkshire to join the small animal team at Clyde Vets in May 2013. While she enjoys all aspects of small animal practice she is particularly interested in internal medicine and cardiology. In her spare time she likes to keep active and be in the outdoors, hill walking and running, but is also partial to bit of retail therapy and attempting to cook.

    Mark graduated in 2013 from the University of Glasgow and has been in small animal practice ever since. Mark joined Clyde Vet Group June last year and has developed a keen interest in surgery and orthopaedics and is also about to start mentoring one of our student nurses. In his spare time Mark is generally found at the yard or out competing with his fiancé on their numerous horses.

    Aileen Darling BVMS MRCVS graduated for Glasgow Vet School in 2002 and after working in mixed practice for 2years, moved to Central Scotland and solely small animal practice, joining the team at Clyde in May 2017. 
    Aileen enjoys the variety of a day in general practice but particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, Aileen is kept very busy with her young son and 5 dogs. She regularly trains and competes in agility with her border collies

  • Mairi McLaughlin BVMS MRCVS

    Mairi joined the CVG in May 2017. She qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 2014.  After starting her career in mixed practice in Newcastle she worked and travelled in New Zealand for a year doing mainly small animal work, with the occasional kiwi and penguin thrown in for good measure. She is currently studying towards a certificate in small animal medicine and enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. Outside of the job Mairi can be found enjoying the outdoors, skiing and tackling the occasional munro and taking every opportunity to travel more.

    Jenny graduated from Edinburgh University in 2004, and after working in mixed practice for several years she joined the Clyde Vet Group small animal team in 2009. She has an interest in soft tissue surgery and opthalmology. She currently has two cats and a dog, and outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family, mountain biking, white-water kayaking and canoeing.
