13/04/10 Approval given from the planning department for further expansion of the Equine Hospital
26/11/09 The Equine Hospital treats the 1000th equine referral case.
20/03/09 The lorry park is expanded by 300 square meters to provide more room and allow for further development.
03/02/09 First laparoscopy (keyhole surgery of the abdomen) a bilateral ovariectomy of a mare.  Later in the day an abdominal rig (retained testicle) was also undertaken via laparoscopy. Read more>>
26/11/08 Fourteen vets attend our fourth Equine CPD meeting at the hospital. 
14/10/08 The equine division of Clyde Vet Group becomes recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as an EQUINE HOSPITAL. 
24/07/08 The equine division becomes a recognised RCVS Equine Veterinary Nurse Training Practice.
07/07/08 Danielle Crawford joins the equine team for a three month period as our first equine intern.   Danielle, who becomes the seventh member of the equine team, is mainly based at the clinic assisting in the treatment of the inpatients. 
15/05/08 Fluoroscopy (motion X-rays) become available.  This adds to our list of imaging equipment and will particularly assist in the operating room with fracture repairs.
10/03/08 Equine first aid talk with practical demonstrations held at the clinic.
04/02/08 Alan Mueller BVM&S,BSc, MRCVS  joins the equine team.
05/11/07 The equine team complete their 100th arthroscopy since the opening of the new clinic.  An investigatory stifle arthroscopy in a dressage horse. Read more>>

01/10/07 Due to the increased workload the equine division moves to having two equine vets on duty for all out of hours emergency work.
20/09/07: Louise Cornish BVMS CertEP MRCVS gained the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Equine Practice.   This is a great achievement for Louise and thoroughly deserved for all her hard work and dedication.
27/08/07: Chris Calder BVM&S MRCVS arrives to become the sixth full time vet
01/08/07 S-Video Gastroscopy facility with a 3 meter scope available for the examination of the stomach.
31/07/07: Building work starts on construction of further stables
21/06/07: The equine division of Clyde Vet Group received the inaugural Scottish Farmer Equine Service Provider of the year award.   The award was open to all businesses involved in the equine industry in Scotland and was supported by the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland .  The award was a major recognition of the entire equine team. 
19/03/07: Austen Marr BVM&S MRCVS moves from the farm division to the equine team.  This increases the number of full time equine vets to five. 
26/02/07 David Sutton passes the European Diploma in Equine Internal Medicine to join only a handful of equine clinicians in UK private practicality  who have this qualification. 
27/11/06: Clyde vet group is added to the British Equine Veterinary Association list of practices experienced in the use of frozen and chilled semen. For more information see www.beva.org.uk/horse-owners/artificial-insemination
23/10/06: A busy day in the operating room, 5 full general anaesthesias.  Great team work by Fiona Main and the nurses and Louise undertaking the anaesthetics meant the day went very smoothly.
20/09/06: Andrew McDiarmid becomes chief examiner for the Royal college of Veterinary surgeons Certificate in Equine Surgery (orthopaedics)
30/07/06: The first racehorse to have a tieback procedure undertaken at Clyde vet group wins their first race. Read more>>
10/07/06: One year on. A very busy year indeed. The practice continues to expand and we've taken on a further veterinary surgeon, and we now employ 2 part-time grooms. The equine division has undertaken just under 100 general anaesthetics in its first year. Plans are in progress to build a further stable block.
10/02/06: Services become available for deep intra-uterine insemination for frozen semen AI.
09/01/06: Dr David Sutton MA Vet MB Cert EM (Int. Med.), PhD, MRCVS arrives to join the equine veterinary team and takes over responsibility for the equine medicine referral side of Clyde Vet Group. 
31/12/05: After a hectic first few months we have received referrals from 27 veterinary practices
24/10/05: Opening of the scintigraphy suite
01/08/05: Equine division is added to the BEVA list of approved practices willing to take equine emergencies.
26/07/05: First colic surgery
18/07/05: First arthroscopy, a carpal (knee) arthroscopy in racehorse.
10/07/05  Opening of the new clinic.
20/02/05:  Clyde vet group becomes one of the first members of XLVets, a group of 40 veterinary practices who have got together to form a marketing and buying group to promote their services and skills. John Baillie BVM&S MRCVS becomes a director of the company.
14/05/05:  Fiona Main VN joins the equine team as our head nurse.  Fiona’s experience is a major assess to the development of the equine clinic.
21/11/04:  First stem cell implantation undertaken in Scotland by Andrew McDiarmid.
01/11/04:  Work starts on the new clinic
12/05/04:  The equine team of vets expands to four equine only vets.
01/08/03:  Merger of Acorn vet centre and Clyde Valley Veterinary Centre to form CYLDE VET GROUP.  The new practice is divided into three divisions: Equine, small and large animal.
